BAaD - Barras Art and Design

Back in 1999 we bought a challenging building with no roof and over the years we have converted it into a multipurpose events venue, with various workshops around the internal courtyard that are home of an eclectic mix of talent.

Barras Art and Design (BAaD) is a collection of spaces to enjoy food, drink and entertainment. This light-filled venue and container yard lives within one of the most unique and exciting historical areas of Glasgow, The Barras Market. A place full of art, colour, laughter and characters you won’t find anywhere else.

A tropical courtyard oasis, a floating restaurant, comfortable places for wanderers to stop for scran and a swally and a sun trapped container yard.

 

Every day of the week offers something new to the BAaD visitor, enjoy seasonal food, unique craft beers & cocktails, browse a market of Scotland's finest small businesses, take in a musical delight, celebrate a friends wedding, attend a special event … or simply grab a coffee and people watch the Barras Market.
